Jewelry Maintenance
How to take care of your jewelry
Committed to offering jewelry that is built to last, Louise uses only the most precious and hypoallergenic materials , such as 925 Silver and Vermeil (a thick layer of 18-carat gold, at least 5 microns thick, plated over 925 silver). To maintain the shine of your silver or vermeil jewelry, please follow these recommendations:
1. Remove your jewelry before washing your hands, showering, swimming, or going to bed. Also, avoid wearing it while doing household chores.
2. Avoid contact with cosmetics, perfumes, chlorine and hydroalcoholic gel.
3. Gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth before storing it in its original box.
4. Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place when not wearing it, especially avoiding humid bathrooms.
Silver can naturally oxidize over time, but you can remove this oxidation using a suitable cloth. Vermeil is a noble material that requires special care to maintain its beauty. If the gilding should fade over time, we offer a re-gilding service to ensure your jewelry remains timeless. Please contact us for a quote.
Please note that we accept no responsibility for any problems that arise after wearing the jewelry without taking proper care of it.
